A natural stage, a curtain of water that reflects lights and stories. The cinema finds a new home on the enchanted shores of Lake Garda, where art and landscape merge into a unique sensory experience. From 11 to 15 June 2025, Garda Cinema takes life, the film festival that transforms the town of Garda into a crossroads of emotions, stories and unforgettable encounters.
This highly anticipated first edition will be directed by Franco Dassisti, a journalist and film critic, who will guide the audience on a journey through the faces and visions of Italian cinema. Five intense days, full of projections under the stars, conversations with authors and protagonists of the seventh art, in an atmosphere suspended between magic and reality.
Five evenings-events celebrating the big screen, with the award ceremony of the best films of the season in the presence of directors, actors and exceptional guests. Stories that are revealed, works that find their audience, in an embrace between cinema and nature. To make even more vibrant programming, the International Short Film Competition, a showcase for new promises of world cinema. Two sections in the competition, fiction and documentary, will compete for a prestigious prize in money, while a special mention could crown the best animated short. A space dedicated to those who, through the language of cinema, can transform a few minutes into an intense and memorable experience.
